Snowcooks Catering Service

Not only is Melanie the tutor for Snowcooks courses, but during the winter she offers a private catering service in-chalet or a delivery option in Peisey Nancroix, Vallandry and Montchavin/ Les Coches.  She prides herself on using seasonal produce as much as possible and endeavours to produce delicious meals with the minimum waste.

Catering Services

You have chosen to come on a self-catered holiday with friends but want a break from cooking.  Help is at hand!  We offer a catering service in your accommodation on a flexible basis from one night to a whole week and from delivered to your door to a full chalet hosting service.  Whichever service you choose, we can promise that the food is all home cooked in our kitchen using the freshest of ingredients wherever possible.  You can choose from a range of dishes, from local cuisine to international, all equally as delicious and also generous portions.

It is also possible to mix and match the services so you can have delivered on your arrival night and hosted during the week on odd days.  We can also deliver to Montchavin and Les Coches on a pre-arranged basis.

How does it work ?

Contact us for the menus which vary slightly between delivered and in-chalet (examples below)

Once you have decided which service suits your group, book the dates you require the meals.

A deposit of 50% is required on booking and then the balance is due four weeks prior to arrival.

Minimum number

There is a minimum number of 6 adults for all services.  If you are less, then the cost will still be for 6.

Everyone must have the same meal (unless you are vegetarian/vegan). 

Special Diets

Nobody is left out - We are happy to cater for special diets providing a well-balanced alternative meal, but a supplement may apply depending on the diet and how many different meals in the group there will be.  If everybody decided on a vegetarian or vegan meal for example, no extra charge is made. Melanie is a vegetarian so is very aware at how important it is to not leave anyone out!  

Children's Meals

Prices are reduced for children – they are served a different meal at an earlier time (when it is in-house catering).  If you want them to eat a smaller portion of what you are having at the same time the price is adult price less 20%

Delivered main meals (Minimum 6 people)

18,00 euros per adult (14 years up)  13,00 euros per child up to 13 years/Under 8 years 8,50 euros

Desserts 6 euros per person 

A Delivery charge is added if outside Peisey.  For example:  Vallandry - 15 euros per order/ Montchavin - 20 euros

In-Chalet Services

The chef will come to your chalet and cook, serve the three course meal and clean up afterwards, giving you the 'restaurant' experience, leaving you free to relax with friends and family.

Three Course Evening meal price depends on the number in the group, the chosen menu, if there is wine included, any extras such as canapes or cheese board and the day (a main holiday or just day in the week!)  Please let me know your exact requirements so I can quote you a price.  The price is approx. 48 euros per person.

Full Catered week

This includes continental-plus breakfast (cereal, orange juice, croissants/pain au chocolat, Fresh bread with jams, yoghurt, hot option which varies each day, tea and coffee), afternoon tea with homemade cake, Six evenings of three course evening meal with wine.  Please ask for menu plans especially if you have a few fussy members in the group!

Prices are 415 euros per adult / 385 euros without wine /252 euros per child (8-13 years)/ 200 euros (2-7 years)  Note children's prices refer to 2 courses served at an earlier time. 

Wine upgrade is also possible with this service.  Working with our local cave, I take the menu in and they propose the wines to go with the meals.  We charge the cost of the wine to you, payable in resort.

There is a small 'deplacement' fee to cover petrol for chalets in Montchavin/Les Coches for all services.   

Gastronomic Experience

We also work with Josh who has a passion for fine dining.  He has been trained in Michelin and gastronomic restaurants and offers a culinary experience in your chalet. He has worked on luxury yachts and in private villas in the South of France.

Chalets to rent in Peisey

Having spent many years in the area, we know a lot of owners with lovely chalets.  If you haven't already found what you are looking for, we are happy to put you in the right direction.  We also manage a lovely chalet in Peisey which you can find via Google 'Chalet Viva' - it is infact the chalet which I run the courses in so you can see also on this website the accommodation details.  It is normally sold via Airbnb and VRBO but you can come direct if you wish to avoid the charges.
